Best Marketing Strategies

On our family road trip (dog included!) to the beach this past weekend, I was driving and noticed a car switching lanes-radically. Not only is this dangerous, but the driver also did not get farther than we did. We ended up passing the other driver by staying the course. This got me to thinking about some of our prospects before they become clients and the type of marketing they do before partnering with us.

Are Your Marketing Efforts Random?

I call random marketing dabbling, you do a little of this, a little of that with no real connection or emotional branding to gain any traction about your business or how you can help people. Then you wonder why your efforts did not work. One of my favorite examples is when I hear a prospect say they sent out a postcard to a purchased list, spent lots of money and got one prospect. This example is not a marketing communication campaign, it is dabbling.

Effective Marketing Includes:

  1. Having a communication plan written down with task completion dates and execute on time
  2. Track the effectiveness and pivot when needed
  3. Follow up with prospects (push them down the sales funnel)
  4. Report and review the results
